POLYTEX textured sewing thread is a soft, elastic and high-covering polyester overlock thread designed for comfortable, attractive and professional seam finishing. It is particularly suitable for baby clothing, underwear, swimwear, knitwear, sportswear and garments worn close to sensitive skin.

Manufactured from polyester air-textured filament yarn, Polytex provides excellent covering ability and creates soft, flexible seams. It is especially useful for covering and securing lower seams on overlock machines and produces an attractive finish with a soft hand feel.

Polytex also creates an effect similar to woolly nylon thread and is particularly popular for rolled hems and decorative overlock finishes.

Rolled Hem Effect

For a rolled hem, refer to the 3rd stitch pattern from the left in the image below. Polytex is particularly effective for creating a fuller and softer rolled hem finish on compatible overlock and serger machines.
