Janome CoverPro 2000CPX Coverstitch Machine – Professional Finish for Knitwear
The Janome CoverPro 2000CPX is a high-speed, heavy-duty coverstitch machine designed to give knit garments a clean, professional finish. Ideal for hemming T-shirts, activewear, sportswear, leggings and other stretch fabrics, it brings commercial-style coverstitching into a convenient home sewing setup.
Popular among sewists in Singapore, the CoverPro 2000CPX offers the performance of a professional coverstitch machine while remaining relatively compact, easy to store and straightforward to operate compared with a full-size industrial machine.
With 12 months of complimentary one-to-one product learning and the Ban Soon Care Package, customers can receive ongoing guidance and support to get the most from their machine.
Important Fabric & Application Information
The Janome CoverPro 2000CPX is primarily designed for coverstitching knit and stretch fabrics. It is not intended to replace a specialised industrial chainstitch machine for heavy denim bottom stitching.
For jeans and denim applications, the machine can handle multiple layers depending on fabric weight and construction:
Up to 8 layers of 10 oz denim
Up to 4 layers of 14 oz denim
Up to 3 layers of 16 oz denim
For best results, always test the machine on your actual fabric, thread and seam construction before beginning a project.
Janome CoverPro 2000CPX Highlights
The Janome CoverPro 2000CPX offers three main stitch configurations for professional-looking garment finishes:
1-needle, 2-thread chain stitch
2-needle, 3-thread cover stitch
3-needle, 4-thread triple cover stitch
These stitch options make the CoverPro 2000CPX suitable for hemming and finishing a wide range of knit garments, including T-shirts, activewear, sportswear, children's clothing, leggings and other stretch garments.
Top 5 Key Features
1. Tension Level Control (TLC)
The Tension Level Control (TLC) system makes it easier to adjust the machine for different fabric types. The simple setting allows you to switch between tighter and softer stitching behaviour, helping reduce fabric bunching when working with lightweight or stretchy materials.
2. Free Arm for Circular Sewing
The free arm provides a narrow sewing area that makes it easier to hem circular sections such as sleeve cuffs, trouser hems and other tubular garments. This gives you better control when sewing smaller openings.
3. Colour-Coded Threading
Threading a multi-thread coverstitch machine is made easier with colour-coded threading guides and clearly marked thread paths. Follow the colour-coded guides on the machine to help thread each position correctly.
4. Seam Tightening System (STS)
The Seam Tightening System (STS) helps manage thread slack during sewing to produce flatter, neater and more consistent seams. This is particularly useful when creating professional-looking finishes on activewear, sportswear and other stretch garments.
5. Extra-Large Workspace
The CoverPro 2000CPX features an extra-large 4" x 5.5" workspace, providing additional room around the needle area. The generous workspace makes it easier to handle larger garments and projects such as jackets, skirts and long hems.
