Post-Bed Design for Three-Dimensional Sewing

The raised post-bed configuration provides additional working access around the sewing area, making it easier to position and manipulate shaped or three-dimensional workpieces. This design is especially useful in upholstery, leather and other applications where a conventional flat-bed machine may provide limited access.

The 270 x 270 mm clear workspace provides additional room for handling larger workpieces during production.

Unison Feed System

The PFAFF 1296 features a unison feed system that synchronizes the feeding action of the machine to provide strong and even material movement. This helps minimize individual ply shifting and contributes to consistent stitch quality when sewing multiple layers or heavier materials.

The alternating top feed has a stroke of up to 7 mm, helping the machine sew smoothly over cross-seams while maintaining consistent stitch length.

Large Vertical Hook & Overload Protection

The large vertical hook provides increased thread capacity, reducing the frequency of bobbin changes during production. The integrated overload safety clutch helps protect the hook mechanism in the event of thread jamming or excessive load.
