This extra large buttonhole accessory is designed to handle buttons from 25 mm to 50 mm (1–2 inches) in diameter, making it useful for garments that require larger-than-standard buttonholes.

Buttonhole Stabilizer Plate for Smoother Feeding

Sewing buttonholes through thick fabrics or multiple uneven layers can be challenging. The stabilizer plate works together with Janome Buttonhole Foot R to support the fabric as it feeds through the machine.

The fabric is held between the upper plate holder, with the buttonhole foot attached, and the metal support plate underneath. This arrangement helps keep the fabric stable during stitching, supporting more even and precise buttonhole results.

The plate holder also features alignment markings to help position the fabric edge for neat and consistent buttonhole placement.
