The Sailrite® Ultrafeed® LS-1 PREMIUM (220–240V / 50Hz) is a powerful, portable straight-stitch walking foot sewing machine designed for demanding sewing applications. This premium package combines the rugged Ultrafeed LS-1 with a comprehensive selection of professional accessories, making it an excellent choice for marine canvas, upholstery, leather, outdoor fabrics and heavy-duty DIY projects.
Engineered with rugged, high-precision components, the Ultrafeed LS-1 delivers the power and control needed to sew through challenging fabric assemblies while remaining manageable when working with lighter materials. It is capable of sewing through up to 10 layers of heavy canvas and 8 layers of Dacron® sailcloth.
Heavy-Duty Monster II Balance Wheel
The LS-1 PREMIUM package includes the Sailrite Monster II Balance Wheel in addition to the standard Power Plus Balance Wheel. This solid 7-pound nickel-plated steel flywheel is designed to provide exceptional momentum and smooth hand-crank operation when sewing thick and dense materials.
The machine is powered by a 220–240V AC motor rated at 8,200 RPM and 0.7 amps. A cogged timing belt system transfers power efficiently, while the grounded electronic variable-speed foot control provides precise speed control during sewing.
Patented Posi-Pin® Clutching System
The patented Posi-Pin® Clutching System (#7438009) provides direct power transfer from the balance wheel to the needle, helping maintain maximum needle penetration force when sewing tough and hard-to-penetrate materials.
The system also allows the needle motion to be stopped quickly by pulling out the pin, making bobbin winding convenient and efficient.
Powerful Walking Foot Feeding
The mechanical walking foot works together with the feed dog to move thick, multi-layered materials evenly through the machine. The spring-loaded reverse lever makes changing sewing direction quick and straightforward.
The EZ Set Stitch Length Plate allows you to set stitch length up to 6mm, while etched seam allowance guides on the needle plate provide convenient reference points at 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and 1".
The standard presser foot includes a built-in welting tunnel for piping and an offset needle position that allows many zipper applications without changing the presser foot.

Portable Design, Built for Heavy-Duty Sewing
The Ultrafeed LS-1 is housed in a reinforced Industrial Carrying Case with custom-molded protective foam. This makes it convenient to store, transport and use in different locations, including home studios, boats, workshops and RVs.
The integrated thread stand attaches directly to the case base and swivels for quick setup. An elastic protector strap is also included to help protect delicate fabrics from contact with case latches.
Versatile Fabric Capabilities
With a 3/8-inch presser foot lift, stitch length adjustment up to 6mm and a 34mm needle bar stroke, the Ultrafeed LS-1 is designed to handle a wide range of materials, from heavy-duty marine fabrics to lighter home décor projects.
