The Baby Lock Double Fold Bias Binder (Part Number: B0421S02A) is a premium 36mm (1-1/2") attachment. It automatically folds a 36mm raw fabric strip on both the top and bottom sides, wrapping it around raw fabric edges in a single, streamlined step.

Recommended Application Methods

  • Mounting: Secure the binder to the base plate using the designated guide fixing screws.
  • Preparation: Cut your 36mm fabric strip precisely on a 45-degree true bias. Snip the insertion tip into a "<" shape to assist with loading.
  • Threading: Feed the strip into the funnel with the wrong side facing you. Use tweezers to guide the tape through the slot and turn it 90 degrees under the presser foot.

BAISE STRIP CUT SIZE :

1-1/ 8 inch Binder:

  • Cut 1-1/8 inch bias from fine fabric such as calico , muslin etc.

  • Cut 1-3/9 inch for fine fabrics such as calico, muslin, etc .

TEAT WITH FABRIC STRIP TO MAKE SURE OF CORRECT WIDTH OF BIAS .

  1. Secure attachment to table with guide fixing screws.
  2. Cut fabric strip to size needed.
  3. Raise presser foot . with the point of the bias strip, place strip into attachment.
  4. use tweezers to feed the strip into the attachment.
  5. Place the folded bias up to the needles and under the presser foot .
  6. turn the hand wheel 3-4 timed to secure the stitching in the fabric.
  7. Place the fabric that is to be bound into the slot of the attachment. Place in the folded bias in the front of the presser foot .
  8. Loosen the guide fixing screws and move the attachment right or left to align the attachment with the needle position.
  9. Sew test for proper alignment before sewing on the project.
